TalentFirst and West Michigan Works! collaborated to create HireReach, a program designed to help employers meet their talent needs using a skills-based hiring process. A skills-based approach to hiring assesses the whole person, not just their resume. Candidates are evaluated using a variety of tools, together with education, work history and other relevant data, to get a better prediction of a candidates’ ability to not just perform but succeed. HireReach provides organizations with a framework, tools, and support to develop and implement a skills-based hiring process proven to reduce first-year turnover, reduce time to fill and increase the size and diversity of their talent pool.
