Corewell Health | Inclusion Resource Group Guiding Principles

Details

At Corewell Health, Business Resource Groups (BRGs) are team member led and formed around common demographics, characteristics, or shared interests. BRGs can also be called team member resource groups, business resource groups, team member diversity councils or team member affinity networks. BRGs are successful when they leverage the strength of their diversity to help the organization grow.

BRGs can have a powerful impact on our organization by:

  • Attracting new business
  • Retaining current talent
  • Playing a key role in supporting business initiatives
  • Acting as a sounding board for strategic inclusion initiatives
  • Assisting with identifying areas of opportunity specific to the needs of a diverse community, both internally and externally
  • Providing insight into inclusive marketing and communication, while enhancing the health system reputation in the community
  • Aiding in the professional development and growth of team members
  • Serving as a means to foster an inclusive organizational culture

This resource includes templates for the creation and implementation of BRGs.
