A new name is just the start as TalentFirst enters a new era of helping West Michigan employers find solutions to historic challenges of attracting, developing and retaining world-class talent.
Our organization, previously known as Talent 2025, is announcing an unprecedented lineup of monthly events kicking off this fall. The five-part Talent Solution Series brings employers timely strategies for a hiring landscape where many of the rules have changed forever.
TalentFirst President Kevin Stotts talks about the new name and series in the brief video below:
“Even though the challenges have changed since our founding more than a decade ago, the efforts of our CEO-led alliance remain even more critical now as we look to a rapidly evolving future,” said TalentFirst President Kevin Stotts.
“That’s why we are bringing together, in one room, West Michigan’s leading minds and best-performing practitioners for the Talent Solutions Series,” Stotts said. “We fully intend to continue our trajectory toward becoming a leading region for talent.”
Once a month, each session of the Talent Solution Series takes an intense and focused look at the most critical challenges in the new talent landscape. Tickets are $75 per person, $50 for TalentFirst members, which includes lunch and a copy of the popular Talent Solutions Playbook published by TalentFirst earlier this year. The lineup:
October 13: Hiring for Attitude, Training for Skills
November 9: Upskilling Your Workforce
December 14: Embracing Automation and AI
January 11: Establishing Talent Pipelines
February 15: Employer Branding
“The historic transformation we are seeing in the talent landscape demands a historic response,” said Leslie Brown, chairman of the board at Metal Flow and lead board co-chair for TalentFirst. “With this series, TalentFirst is equipping our region’s employers with the strategies they need, to not only keep pace with change, but to ensure all of West Michigan can thrive.”
